Lab Interpretation

Understand your bloodwork in context

Have you had bloodwork done but still aren't sure what the results actually mean?

I help women make sense of their lab results by looking at the bigger picture—not just whether a number is marked "normal" or "abnormal."

Your symptoms, health history, medications, menstrual or reproductive health, and reason for testing all matter when interpreting bloodwork. Together, we can identify what your results do—and don't—tell us and determine whether any further investigation is warranted.

You don't necessarily need more testing. Sometimes you need someone to explain the testing you already have.

What I can help you understand

Lab interpretation can be useful when you're trying to understand results related to:

Iron & Ferritin - especially when you’re experiencing fatigue, heavy periods or other symptoms

Thyroid Health - including TSH and thyroid hormones

Blood sugar & metabolic health - including glucose, HbA1c and other metabolic markers

Cholesterol & cardiovascular risk - including lipid results and markers such as ApoB100 and LpA

Women’s Hormones - when clinically appropriate

Nutrient status - Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D

Other routine blood work that you want help putting into context

You can bring bloodwork ordered by your family doctor, specialist or another healthcare provider. You do not need to have your testing ordered through me to have it interpreted.
